The 3rd annual alumni tournament will be taking place this December. Vaughn has been organizing this event from it’s inception and would like you to participate. Year after year student athletes are needing to come up with increasing amounts of money in order to play on school teams. Costs, especially travel and accommodation, are rising rapidly. Many students simply do not participate for this reason. We would like to have a means of financial assistance for those in need. With this in mind we have decided to establish a Viking Basketball Alumni Association where membership fees may be used to help support athletes in need.
The intent is to accommodate contributions of different amounts based on what the alumnus feels they wish to give and also provide benefits to the alumnus based on their contribution. Of course charitable donation tax benefits are also a great advantage of making contributions. The following shows benefits of various contribution amounts beyond just helping student athletes in need.
CONTRIBUTION BENEFIT(S)
$5.00 to $19.00 alumni association membership, tax receipt
$20.00 to $30.00 alumni association membership, tax receipt, alumni tournament entry
$31.00 to $49.00 Bronze member (all of above and media announcement)
$50.00 to $99.00 Silver member (all of above and display at home games)
$100.00 to $199.00 Gold member (all of above and credit card ad. in zone program)
$200.00 plus Platinum member (all of above and half page ad. in zone program.
In addition, bronze members will receive an alumni association t-shirt, silver members will receive an alumni association polo shirt, gold members will get the polo and the t-shirt, platinum members will receive an alumni association jacket. Extraordinary contribution offers and ideas are certainly welcome.
